Mrs. Belle Maury Rives, 81 years old, widow of Col. Wright Rives and a native Washingtonian, died at her residence, 2029 Connecticut Avenue, yesterday.
Mrs. Rives was the daughter of the late John W. Maury, who was one of the early mayors of Washington and was long active in the development of this city.
She is survived by her sister, Mrs. D.S. Gregory; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Her husband died about five years ago.
