Mother's maiden name - Webb
Married William R Mobley 08 Aug 1981
Lori Mobley, with a gentle wind beneath her wings, took flight to her heavenly home on Oct. 13, 2009. For all of us who knew her, her loving spirit and laughter will continue to make us smile when thinking about Lori. She will be missed by the many people her life touched.
Lori was born in Barstow to parents Gerald and Carma Hatch on March 6, 1958. She graduated with the class of 1974 at Barstow High School, and married her loving husband, Bill, in 1981. She was employed at the Marine Base as a supply technician for 14 years, and operated a business in San Diego for five years called Dream Home Solutions.
One of her favorite places to go was the Colorado River. Bill and Lori's honeymoon was spent there, along with every wedding anniversary. She had a fondness for fishing, camping and horseback riding. Regardless of any limitations in ones life, she always succeeded to be the very best she could be. Her family provided great strength and comfort in her life, and when her grandchildren came along, their gift of laughter and love created endless joy in her life.
Both Lori and Bill were both volunteers in our community for many years, serving as officers with the Barstow Elk's Lodge #1920. Lori was the first woman to join the lodge in Barstow, and became the primary officer as "Exalted Ruler" for the lodge in 2001-2002.
Lori is survived by her loving husband, William "Bill" Mobley of Barstow; a son, John Mobley (his wife Melanie) of Monterey; grandchildren, Sarah, Will and Erin Mobley of California, and Nicole Whiting of Virginia; great-grandson, Canyon Whiting of Virginia; sisters, Maris Stein (her husband Frank) and Jill Parker (her husband Jeff) of Utah; brothers, Ray Hatch (his wife Christina) of Washington, and Leon Hatch (his wife Jewel) of Utah; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
