Donald W. "Don" Skidmore, Sr., 74, died Monday July 28, 2008, at St. Vincent's Hospital in Jacksonville.
He retired after 45 years at the Hudson Pulp & Paper and Georgia – Pacific Co.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred Skidmore of Palatka; daughter, Rebecca Litteral, of Florence, S.C.; sons, Donald Skidmore Jr., of St. Augustine, and John Skidmore and Joseph Skidmore, both of Palatka; two sisters, Mary Wilkinson of Bostwick, and Alberta Niles,of San Mateo; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
His funeral is today at 11 a.m. At Masters Funeral Home of Palatka. Interment will be in the Palatka Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Masters Funeral Home, Palatka.
