Albert Bloodsworth

SALISBURY -- Albert Bloodsworth, 75, of Salisbury died Wednesday, May 31, 2006, at his home.

Born in Salisbury, he was a son of the late Robert and Edna Schaffer Bloodsworth.

Mr. Bloodsworth was co-owner of Salisbury Auto Spring Works and was a member of East Side Men's Club, the Loyal Order of the Moose 654 and a lifetime member of the BPOE Elks Lodge 817. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Joan Buda Bloodsworth of Salisbury; a son, Michael Bloodsworth and his wife, Natalie, of Salisbury; four grandchildren, Jessica Phillips of Hendersonville, Tenn., Michael Bloodsworth Jr. of Pittsville, Lauren Layfield of Mountaintop, Pa., and Kyle Layfield of Salisbury; a great-grandson on the way, Hunter Phillips; a sister, Elizabeth Beipz; his faithful companion, his dog Jessie; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and William Bloodsworth, and a sister, Virginia Nelson.

A funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Bounds Funeral Home on East Main Street in Salisbury. Interment will follow in Wicomico Memorial Park in Salisbury. Friends may call Friday evening from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

A reception will follow the funeral at the Moose Lodge on Snow Hill Road in Salisbury. Food donations may be made from 9 to 11 a.m.
