Marshall Blake, assistant executive director of the Iowa division of the American Cancer Society, Mason City, has returned from Fremont,Iowa where funeral services were held Tuesday for his wife, who died in a hospital at Rochester, Minnesota, Sunday, following an illness of 1 1/2 years. Services were held in the Fremont Methodist Church.
Mrs. Blake was born on May 15 1917, at Fremont, where she was graduated from high school. She later attended Parsons College at Fairfield.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. V. Lee of Fremont, 2 brothers, and 3 sisters. She was married to Mr. Blake at the First Christian Church in Pasadena, California in 1941.
The Blakes came to Mason City in 1949 and made their home at 122 Jefferson N. W. A number of Mason City friends attended the funeral.
