Graveside services for Hazel Marie Sachse, 93 of Chandler, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Strong Cemetery, under direction of Jackson's Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home.

Mrs. Sachse passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2018 in Chandler. She was born October 4, 1924 in Church Hill to the late William Clarence Prior and Gladys Leopard Prior. She graduated high school and then married her husband, Lt. Col William D. Sachse of the 82nd Airborne, who carried her from Japan to Panama and to almost every State in the U.S. before his retirement. She was a homemaker, housewife , mother and grandmother and member of Pollard United Methodist Church. She was preceded by her parents, her loving husband and by two sisters, Jimmie Louise Watt and Mary Elizabeth Barnes. Survivors are her son, William D. (Bill) Sachse, Jr; daughter, Lawanna Sachse; two grandchildren, Paula Elizabeth Leonard and Sandra Sachse; and 5 great-grandchildren, Quintan, Haden, Ashlyn, Ivan and Ella; and by several nieces and nephews.
