Dexter Daily Statesman
Virginia Louise Beighley, daughter of Jan N. Renshaw and the late Sam L. Raines, both of Memphis, Tenn., was born on Jan. 24, 1953, in Memphis, Tenn., and died in Dexter on Thursday, Feb. 11, 2010, at the age of 57.
Mrs. Beighley was an active member of the Orthodox Anglican Church in Sikeston, a home-maker, an avid reader of books, a gardener, a lover of dogs, cats, and horses, her husband and her children.
She was united in marriage to Donn H. Beighley, Ph.D. on Aug. 20, 1982, in Memphis, Tenn.
Besides her husband, she is survived by one son, Jessee Beighley of Marble Hill; one daughter, Rachel Beighley of Dexter; her mother, Jan N. Renshaw of Memphis, Tenn.; two brothers, Rusty White and Vic White of Memphis, Tenn.; three sisters, JoAnne Ray of Montgomery, Ala., Judy Vandergrift of Memphis, Tenn., Lisa Vickers of Hosford, Fla.
She was predeceased by the paternal grandparents, Dr. Samuel Raines and Virginia Broadnax Raines; her maternal grandparents, J. Morgan and Florence Newbern; and by her step-father, Judge James H. White.
There will be a memorial service at the Orthodox Anglican Church, 517 North Main Street in Sikeston on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010, at 1 p.m. with Father Michael Pahls presiding.
All memorial donations will be forwarded to the Heifer International Project.
