Son of Mrs. Katie M. Davidson who resided in Washington, D.C.

Frank served as a Second Lieutenant & Navigator on B-17F "Ron Chee" #42-3123, 535th Bomber Squadron, 381st Bomber Group, U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.

He resided in the District Of Columbia prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army Air Corps on December 27, 1941, prior to the war, in Washington, D.C. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed as a mechanic and also as Single, without dependents.

B-17F "Ron Chee" #42-3123, while on a bombing mission over Bremen, Germany, was attacked by German aircraft and shot down during the war. They crashed in Fladdderlohausen, 10 miles southeast of Quackenbruck, Germany during the war.

Frank was "Killed In Action" in this crash.

He was awarded the Air Medal and the Purple Heart.

Frank was originally interred overseas and was later repatriated here on October 5, 1950.

Service # O-679178

The reason he is named on a group headstone is because when soldier's were killed in close proximity to each other they were unable, at that time, to identify them separately and interred their remains together in one grave.
