Mary Elizabeth Buzard, daughter of James Hamilton Buzard and Mary Lawrence. She was born in Toby Township, Armstrong County, Pennsylvania, (which is now Madison Township, Clarion County, Pennsylvania) July 15, 1836, and passed to be with her Savior and friends Sept. 29, 1901.
She was united in the bonds of matrimony with John Anthony on July 2, 1857, proving an affectonate wife and loving mother.
She was raised by christian parents and united with the M. E. Church when but twelve years old, and ever since has been a faithful follower of Christ.
She bore all her afflictions with great patience and at the hour of death, when surrounded by her loved ones, she said, "It is but a step across the brook."
The sympathy of the whole community goes out to the bereaved husband, seven children, four brothers, and two sisters.
