FOLSOMVILLE, Indiana - Raymond Austill, 91, died Sunday morning at Baker's Rest Haven in Boonville. He was a coal miner, worked for Ryan Construction and retired from Industrial Contractors.

He was a member of Laborers Local 561 since 1950.

Surviving are four daughters, Marjorie Malone and Myrna Helms, both of Boonville, Judith Effinger of Evansville and Brenda Phelps of Terre Haute; four sons, Donald of Du Quoin, Illinois, Kenneth and Daniel, both of Chandler, and Kevin of Boonville; grandchildren, including Karen Ashley of Boonville, whom he raised; and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Hester, in 1986, two daughters, Deborah Austill in 1951 and Anita Austill in 1962, and a son, Brent, in 1953.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Koehler Funeral Home Boonville Chapel, with burial in Folsomville Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
