He was born May 19, 1933 in Chicago, IL. James is survived by his loving children, Tom (Sue), Jim, Jr. (Tara), Patricia Burd and Cathy Shannon; their mother, Margaret Shannon; his wonderful grandchildren, Kyle Shannon, Aidan and Evan Shannon, Pfc. James Shannon, USMC, and Rachel Burd; and his sister, Bernadette Shannon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Susan Shannon and his brother, Timothy Shannon.
A Memorial Service will be Sunday, Feb. 28, 3 p.m. at Grace Christian Fellowship, 1701 Quincy Ave., Naperville. A private Interment was held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood. Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, Naperville entrusted with arrangements. For info 630-355-0213.
