MARTINSVILLE MORNING POST, Sat., Feb. 27, 1937. Mrs. Fannie Armstrong Shackelford, 68, wife of Dr. Jesse M. Shackelford, died at the home of her son, Dr. John A. Shackelford, Church Street. She was a daughter of the late John A. and Hattie Armstrong, of the Irisburg section, where she was born. Surviving are her husband and one son. Also, three grandchildren remain: Margaret S., Frances M. and Blanche Harrison Shackelford.
