Eleanor Low Kaiser, of Bagley, died Wednesday, May 7, 1997, at the N.C. Little Hospice in Edina, Minnesota.
She was born November 22, 1915, in Brechin, Scotland. She moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba, with her parents Elizabeth and James Low in 1920. She attended Daniel MacIntrye School in Winnipeg and the Winnipeg School of Business. During World War II she served with the RCAF in the finance area, delivering paychecks to the soldiers stationed in Canada. In 1943 she was married to Geoffrey Hess. Mr. Hess was killed in Germany during World War II. In 1948, she married Albert kaiser and moved to Bagley. For many years she was active on the Episcopal Church Board and with Mr. Kaiser, the Minnesota Republican party. Following Mr. Kaiser's death in 1988, she took over as chairman and President of the First National Bank of Bagley and remained active in the bank until her passing.
Survivors include two daughters, Pamela (William) Rosacker of Burbsville, Minnesota, and Penny (Doug) Lee of Alexandria, Minnesota; two sisters, Alven Low and Shirley (Leonard) Bookbinder, both of Winnipeg; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by an infant brother; and two husband, Mr. Hess and Mr. Kaiser.
Funeral services were Tuesday, may 13, at Faith Lutheran Church in Bagley with Revs. Dennis Brovold and George Smith officiating. Interment was at the Bagley City Cemetery, Bagley.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Albert and Eleanor Kaiser Memorial Fund, c/o First National Bank of Bagley. These funds will be put toward the Bagley Hospice and the Pediatric Room at the Clearwater County Memorial Hospital in Bagley.
