DeNeui, Cory Brooks, Chuck Brooks, Gerald Beninga, and Orville De- Neui.
Interment was in the Lennox Cemetery.
Bonita Hagemeyer was born on a farm north of Lennox, SD on Aug. 31, 1921, the daughter of Charlie and Myrtle (Fodness) Hagemeyer.
She attended several rural schools and graduated from Worthing High School in 1938.
On Nov. 6, 1948 she was married to Donald Hanson in Luverne,
MN. They farmed near Canton until December of 1961 when they moved to Harrisburg. Her husband, Donald, died on April 9, 1964.
She moved to Lennox in September of 1965. Bonita had been employed in Canton, Lennox and Sioux Falls during her lifetime. She was a confirmed member of West Prairie Lutheran Church and had rejoined the church in 1966.
Bonita was married to Byron "Barney" Peterson on December 13, 1965. They lived in Lennox until April of 1993 when they moved to Sioux Falls.
Her husband, Byron, died on January 9, 2004. She continued to live in Sioux Falls since that time.
She was also preceded in death by her father in 1962 and her mother in 1991.
Grateful for having shared her life are her two daughters and sonsin- law: Brenda and Gerald Beninga
of Sioux Falls and Dawn and Orville DeNeui of rural Chancellor; three grandchildren: Geoffrey (Jenny) Beninga,
Angela Beninga and Matthew DeNeui; two great-grandchildren:
Alec and Andrew Beninga; her sister, Morvia Brooks of Sioux Falls; two nephews; many other relatives and friends.
