Beloved son of--
Hyram William Scott
and
Emily Legg Scott
Charles A Scott was a long awaited blessing to his parents, who had been married in 1868 in Ontario, Canada. His parents immigrated to the USA about 1880 and settled in Kansas. His father, Hyram William Scott, followed the path of his parents (Jobe W Scott and Rebecca Scott) from Canada to the USA and settled in McPherson County, Kansas.
It was with heavy Hearts, that Charles A Scott was laid to rest shortly after his birth, by-- his parents, grandparents, other family, and friends.
Sadly, Emily, the mother of Charles A Scott, passed away about a month after his birth (probably from childbirth complications). The sorrow from the loss of Emily and infant Charles A Scott, sat heavy on the Hearts of Hyram, other family members, and friends.
Burial--
Charles A Scott is buried in the same cemetery as his mother, and they share the same grave marker. The inscription for each is on adjacent sides. They were joined in life and again after.
