Elderly Woman Dies From Burns - Mrs. Hannah Cannon, aged 81, of the Shark community, died as a result of burns she received in an accident at her home last Saturday morning. Mrs. Lizzie Level, her daughter, said that she was in the yard when she heard her mother's screams. When she got into the house, Mrs. Cannon's clothes had been burned off of her. She was near a wood burning heater, but was unable to tell how the accident happened. Mrs. Cannon was given emergency treatment at the hospital in Danville and sent to a Russellville hospital, where she died a short time later.

Survivors, in addition to her daughter, are three sons. Vernon Cannon of the home, Lafayette Cannon of Ola and Alton Cannon of Hot Springs; and three brothers, Luther McCurry of Missouri, Claude McCurry of McGehee and Lige McCurry of Arizona.
