John Servatius Passes Away Here After An Illness
John P. Servatius, 1904 N Twentieth street, passed away this morning at the age of 76 years at St. Nicholas hospital. He had been in ill health for three years.
Born in Fond du Lac June 25, 1870, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Servatius, the deceased attended schools there, then moved to Chicago to work there for12 years. He moved to Colorado and returned from there in 1907 to open a general mercantile store in Black Creek, Wis. He has lived in Sheboygan for the past 20 years.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday at St. Dominic's church with a brief service at the Ballhorn Funeral chapel at 8:30 a. m., and burial will be In the Rienzl cemetery near Fond du Lac. The Rev. Fr. George J. Knackert will conduct the services.
Survivors are his wife; two children, Mrs. Vern (Genevieve) Perry, 1904 N. Twentieth street, Sheboygan, and Mrs. Joseph F. (Olive) Kraus, Appleton; three brothers, Peter, Menominee, Frank, Kansas City, and Alex, Fond du Lac; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Four sisters and two brothers preceded him in death.
