OBITUARY - Plain Dealer, Wabash (IN) - May 20, 1953
Mrs. Myrtle Beghtel Kratzer, 79, a resident of Urbana for the last 60 years died in her home there at 12:15 o'clock Tuesday morning. She had been in failing health for two weeks.
Mrs. Kratzer was born in Wabash County on September 5, 1873 to Jacob Beghtel and Mary Jane Rousey Beghtel and on September 13, 1893 was united in marriage in Wabash to Edward Walter Kratzer who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter Lelah Lavonne Kratzer (Earl Vert) Sholty, Peru, two sons, Keith Eugene Kratzer, Garrett, and Myrval Edward Kratzer of Urbana; two sisters, Mrs. Lulu Beghtel Oliver, Urbana, and Mrs. Edith Beghtel Smith of Andrews; five grand children and five great grandchildren. Two brothers and two sisters are dead.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon in the Grace Evangelical United Brethern church, Urbana, of which she was a member and #burial will be in Speicher Cemetery. The body will remain at the Hoover-Miner Funeral home until Thursday noon when it will be taken to the church where it may be viewed until time for the services.
Died at age 80 years, 8 months, 15 days.
