A retired legal secretary for Richard Kilbourne and secretary/accountant for Clinton Infirmary, who was known for her work at Clinton Infirmary, she died Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2003, at Lane Memorial Hospital, Zachary. She was 84, a resident of Clinton and a native of Gillsburg, Miss.

Visiting at Charlet Funeral Home Inc., Clinton, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Visiting at the funeral home from noon until service at 2 p.m. Thursday. Interment in Masonic Cemetery, Clinton.

Survived by her husband of 62 years, Mahoney Perkins of Clinton; two sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas and Barbara Perkins of Baton Rouge and Billy and Sandra Perkins of Clinton; two brothers, Edward Caston of Baton Rouge and Marshall Caston of Mesquite, Nev.; five grandchildren, Mahoney Perkins, Michael Perkins, Bradley Perkins, Erin Travis and Doug Garner; and six great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents, Roger and Nannie Caston; four sisters, Edna Husser, Juanita Conleay, Ann Crawford and Joyce Carter; and two brothers, Milton and Archie Caston.

She was a graduate of Gillsburg High School and a business school in Baton Rouge. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
