Louise loved to garden and iris' were her favorite. At one point she had hundreds of them at her house in Dover. She also liked roses. She and I went on many trips to local nurseries searching for them. She also liked to read romance novels. She loved to have her family over for dinners and loved to entertain. Louise and Donald are my maternal grandparents and even though she remarried, she was always "Grandmother Dennis" to my sister and I. Louise was the one that introduced me to geneaology and we spent many hours doing research on our family tree. We made many trips to cemeteries, churches and archive buildings. I will always remember her laugh and her smile. She was more than my grandmother, she was my friend.
She is survived by her oldest son, Ronald N. Elliott, a daughter, Carol A. Willey and a son-in-law Lester Willey, and her youngest son Donald M. Dennis Jr. She is survived by 5 grandchildren Kenneth Elliott, Sherri Elliott Ruark Anthony, Craig Lewis of Florida, Lisa Willey Jefferson, Laura Willey, of Delaware and 10 great grandchildren, Erin Jefferson DelFarno, Aimee Jefferson, Thomas Jefferson and Kristen Jefferson, Brittany Ruark Dahlstrom, Troy "Tyler" Ruark, Ian Lewis, Skylar Willey, Cara Stevens and Ryan Stevens. She is also survived by a sister, Ruth James.
She is preceeded in death by her siblings William Stubbs, Nancy Hurd Johnson, Nelson Stubbs, Paul Stubbs, Emil Stubbs, Edgar Stubbs and 3 great grandchildren Gabriel Jefferson, Amarissa Jefferson and Isaiah Jefferson.
