Emmanual was born March 4, 1892 in Auchel, Pas-de-Calais, Nord-Pas-de-Calais, France. He entered the United States at 15 years of age along with his brothers Arthur and Paul and his mother, Juliet. Molly made his home in Lovington, IL. He worked in the coal mines of Lovington throughout his life. He married Vesta Alice Davis on July 19, 1916 in Lovington, IL. He had a large garden with a wide variety of vegetables and fruits. He was famous for raising strawberries. Those strawberries were delicious and he always let us eat them off the bush. He grew big onions also. Vesta would cook six of those at one meal for us to eat. They were GOOD!! Molly enjoyed eating fried chicken, french fries and the fantastic pies Vesta served. They had one son, Eugene.
