TENANTS HARBOR, Maine -- Eugene W. Clark , 92, formerly of Leominster, died Saturday, Jan. 29, in the Camden Health Care Center, Camden.
His wife of 61 years, Ruth E. (McKenny) Clark predeceased him in 1991. He leaves a son, Donald L. Clark of Ashburnham, Mass.; a daughter, Susan W. Francavilla of Ashburnham; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. A daughter, Elizabeth J. Glover predeceased him in 1991.
Mr. Clark was born in Lowell, Mass., son of Dr. Edward and Marion (Gray) Clark and had lived in Tenants Harbor since 1970. He was a 1926 graduate of Lowell High School. He attended Boston University and graduated from Fitchburg State College in 1934. Mr. Clark taught industrial arts in Maynard, Mass., and Wilton, N.H., before working 30 years at Simonds Saw and Steel in Fitchburg, Mass., retiring in 1970. He was a member of the Odd Fellows in Leominster, Mass., and Tenants Harbor. Mr. Clark was a member of the Pearl Hill Rebekah Lodge in Fitchburg and of the Simonds Retirement Association.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 2, at 11 a.m. in the Silas F. Richardson and Son Funeral Home, 106 West St., Leominster. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Leominster. A calling hour will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 2, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. George Ambulance Fund, PO Box 21, Port Clyde, ME 04855.
