He was a member of Dayton Church of Christ, a Navy veteran of World War II, a farmer and a machinist.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Myra and Bill Flippo of Dayton; a twin sister, Cora Gragson of Wellington; three brothers, Melvin of Hamilton; Glen of Allison and Paul of Carlsbad, NM; three grandchildren, Bruce Flippo of Dayton; Tom Flippo of Liberty and Pam Flippo of Fort Smith and five great-grandchildren and a nephew, Willie Gragson of Wellington.
