World War I Draft Registration Lists- Tall, Medium Build, Brown Eyes, Dark Hair, Wife and 4 Children, Steelmaker at the Whitaker Glessner Company, New Boston, Ohio, No Disabilities Listed.
Also around 1917 Charlie & his wife Lucinda "Cinda" Osborn moved from Carter County and bought a farm on McDowell Creek in Lewis County from Josiah & Mary E. Counts, they raised their family and lived on the McDowell Creek Farm until their deaths. (Source: Garrison History, Past & Present)

Charlie died at Garrison in Lewis County at age 63 of "pneumonia and lung cancer." He was buried at the Waring Cemetery, Garrison, Lewis County, Kentucky.
