Lewis, Nellie Mildred Williams - Mrs. Joseph Lewis, 85, died at the Rosary hospital in Corning Saturday, Sept. 18th.

Nellie Mildred Williams was born on July 3, 1891 at Prescott, Iowa and died at the age of 85 years, 2 months and 18 days.

She was united in marriage to Joseph Lewis on December 25, 1910. She spent her entire life in the Prescott and Lenox areas.

She is survived by her three children: Earl Lewis of Orient; Arthur of West Des Moines, and a daughter, Bessie Lillie of Lenox. Also surviving are two daughters-in-law, a son in law, 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Also three brothers, Elmer and Everett of Corning and Bill of Galesburg, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her husband, 1 granddaughter, Judy Lewis and 1 great grandson, Scott Shehan. Also by four brothers and 3 sisters.

Nellie loved her family and friends. She enjoyed her grandchildren very much. Her happiest times were spent visiting with friends and her family.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 from the First Christian Church in Lenox with Pastor Don Jensen officiating.

Music was furnished by Mildred Walter, organist; and Mrs. Harold Maynes and Mrs. Larry Schrader, vocalists.

Bearers were Mike Lillie, Paul Lewis, Ray Lewis, Glen Lewis, Steve Olson and Maurice McLey.

Interment was in East Fairview cemetery.
