Charles "Chuck" David Green, son of Lewis Clinton and Audrey W. Tyson Green, was born March 21, 1945, in Brooklyn, New York. He departed this life Sunday, February 7, 2010, in Northridge Place, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of sixty-four years, ten months, and sixteen days.

On June 6, 1964, he was united in marriage to Sherry Lee Lindsay, and to this union two daughters were born.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a grandson, Blaise Matlock.

Chuck is survived by his loving wife of forty-five years, Sherry, of the home; two daughters, Shelly Truitt, and her husband, Jeff, of O'Fallon, Illinois, and Melanie Matlock, and her husband, David, of Lebanon, Missouri; four grandsons, A.J. and Casey Truitt, and Cole and Chaz Matlock; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Roy and Leota Snider, of Lebanon, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

He was born and raised in New York, and then moved with his family to the Lebanon, Missouri area, when he was eleven years old. He graduated from Conway High School in the Class of 1962. He began working at Detroit Tool Metal Products and then entered the military, serving his country faithfully in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. After being honorably discharged from the Marines, he returned to Lebanon and continued working for Detroit Tool Engineering. He and Shelly made their home in Lebanon, and lovingly raised their daughters.

Soon after retiring, Chuck and Sherry moved to the Lake of the Ozarks area, and enjoyed life on the Lake. He greatly liked being outdoors where he enjoyed jet skiing and playing golf. Following his grandsons sporting events brought him much pleasure and pride, and he always made his family the center of his life. He was a movie buff, and had a love for Corvette cars and motorcycles. He possessed a wonderful sense of humor and liked to tease and joke.

Chuck was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and know that he will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday February 10, 2010 at the Holman-Howe Funeral Home
Lebanon. Burial will be in Mt. Rose Memorial Park. Visitation is Tuesday Evening 6-7:30 p.m. under the direction of the Holman-Howe Funeral Home Lebanon, Missouri.
