Paul M. Renfroe

Services for Paul M. Renfroe, 78, of Kosciusko were held Monday at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church with burial in Parkway Cemetery.

Renfroe was retired owner of Jackson & Renfroe Insurance Agency Inc. and was associated with Renfroe & Lewis Real Estate & Appraisers. He died Dec. 10, 2004 at his residence. The Scott County native was a graduate of Lena High School and Mississippi State University. He was past governor of the VFW and the Kosciusko Moose Lodge. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Mid-State Management, past president f the Shrine Club and of the IFA, a charter member of the Civitan Club. He had served on the Kosciusko Planning Committee. He served as a colonel on the staffs of Governors Paul B. Johnson and Ross Barnett. He was a Mason and a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Navy.

He is survived by his wife, Jodye Jernigan Renfroe of Kosciusko; two daughters, Lynn Ryder of Kosciusko and Amy Arnault of Weir; two brothers, James Renfroe of Ivanhoe, Texas and Horace Renfroe of Brandon; a sister, Bessie R. Williams of Prentiss; four grandchildren.

Rev. Barry Corbett officiated. Culpepper Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Serving as pallbearers were Jimmy Renfroe, Keith Renfroe, Daniel Renfroe, Billy Wayne Renfroe, Derrell Thomas and Don Caudle.

Honorary pallbearers were Lavone Williams, Harold Lewis, Mims Boswell and Adult II Men's Sunday School class.
