Georgia Ash, 64, a lifelong Newberry, Michigan, area resident, died at her home under the loving care of her family and LMAS Home Health and Hospice on Thursday, June 22, 2006.

Born in Curtis on November 4, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Alvin Allen and Marion (Griffith) Allen.

Georgia attended local schools and on May 6, 1957 she married Nathan Ash in Newberry. Georgia was a homemaker who loved to spend time with her family and enjoyed camping and fishing.

Georgia Ash was preceded in death by her parents; 1 son Nathan, Jr.; a sister: Anna May Cole and 2 brothers: Francis Griffin and George Allen.

Survivors included her husband Nathan Ash of Newberry; Daughters Ellen Ash and Penny (Howard) Bliss all of Newberry; Tammy Dibble and Steven Ash of Manistique; and Brian (Crystal) Ash of Newberry; 9 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and siblings: Roseman Swan, Grace Cole, Bonnie Lee, Pat Allen, Russ Allen, and Rex Allen, all in Indiana and Barbara McAlpine of Curtis.
