Bonnie Jean Kinman, 78, Iola, died Tuesday, August 14, 2001, at her home.
She was born April 4, 1923, in Humboldt, the daughter of Frank and Lela (Laver) Brooks.
She worked at several places including Menegay's Restaurant, Mode-O-Day and Intercollegiate Press. She retired from Litwin's Clothing in 1989 after 10 years of service.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post #15, Iola, and attended Grace Baptist Church.
In 1940, she married Hugh Walden. He died in 1950.
In 1952, she married Glen Hostetter. He died in 1953.
In 1955, she married Luther Kinman. He died in 1987.
Survivors include one son, Larry Walden, Iola; one daughter, Patter Spencer, Colony; two step-daughters, Janice Danielson, Beaumont, Calif., and Virginia McCullough, Independence; one sister, Pauline Krokstrom, Elsmore; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, August 17, at Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel, Iola, led by Elder Leon Morrow. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery, Iola.
