BURZINSKI, RAYMOND D.

Age 67 of Plainfield, IL at rest Sunday, Nov. 9, 2008 at the Alden of Waterford in Aurora, IL.

Born Dec. 23, 1940 in Lombard, IL the son of the late Joseph and Ida Burzinski Beloved husband of Judy, Loving father of James (Sandra) Burzinski; Laura (Albert) Cox and Heather Burzinski. Cherished grandfather of Alexandra Burzinski and Logan Cox. Dear brother of Eileen (the late Bernard) Plut; the late JoAnne Hall and his late infant brother Joseph Burzinski. Survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ray retired from Caterpillar after 30 years. Served in the U.S.Army during the Vietnam Era. Was a member of the American Legion Post 1080. He was past Will County Commander and a member of the VFW Post 367. Was former Scout Master of Troop 13 where he was still an active member. Member of the Joliet Moose Lodge.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, Nov. 14, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Francis Zavier Catholic Church, 2500 Arbeiter Rd. Joliet, IL 60431. Interment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL. Visitation Thursday, Nov. 13, from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Overman-Jones Funeral Home, 15219 S. Joliet Rd. (Corner of Rts. 30 & 59), Plainfield, IL. 60544
