Major League Basball Player. Born in Dexter, Texas, he was a right handed pitcher whom played for eight seasons with the Chicago White Sox, St. Louis Browns and Boston Browns, 1919 to 1928. Known as an average player for most of his career, he is most noted for pitching Baseball's 5th all time perfect game for the White Sox against the Tigers on April 30, 1922. He ended his career with 49 wins, 80 loss, 310 strikeouts and a 4.44 earned run average.
