Born 12 Aug 1870 in Walbridge, the son of James C Scott (1830 – 1903) and his wife Sarah E Loop (1839 – 1884). On 21 Apr 1890, He married in Lucas County, Ohio Olive Faneuff, daughter of Maxime Faneuff (1836 – 1918) and his wife Ermine Beaugrand (1837 – 1889), Canadian immigrants from Tibury, Ontario, by way of Detroit. Ed and Olive had five children: 1. Ira Edwin Scott (1890 – 1968) m. Goldie Sigler; 2. William Ross Scott (1892 – 1973) m. Blanche Daly; 3. Olive Emma Scott (1894 – 1983) m1. Fullman Merrill Monroe "Monte" Champion, m2. Karl Pearl Holycross; 4. Russell Henry Scott (1896 – 1995) m. Lillian I. Krowl; 5. Erne James Scott (1898 – 1967) m. Reba Mae Heath. Ed Scott died 01 Nov 1933 in Toledo, at his home 150 East Broadway.
