Ben was born to Myriam and Ben Sage, Sr. He was a graduate of North Texas University, and was a Navy veteran of the Korean War. He retired from Ben E. Keith Foods where he was National Accounts Manager.
Ben was a long-time member of First Baptist Church in Richardson, TX, charter member of the Abernathy Greeters Class, and a Deacon. He was a 50 year Mason and member of Hella Shrine. Ben was a wonderful greeter; he was always at his door at First Baptist to greet members and visitors.
In addition to spending time with his family, he was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed his world travels. Ben took great pride in attending his children's and grandchildren's many activities. His love for his family, church and country knew no bounds and he served on numerous church committees. Ben was a natural born salesman, never met a stranger and had an infectious laugh. He was a masterful joke teller and a willing participant in a good prank. Ben will be sorely missed by all; he was a gentleman and a gentle man.
Ben was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Glen.
