Boaz, Ky. — Services for Calvin Butler, 83, of Boaz will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home. The Revs. Jeff Wallace and Bob Martin will officiate. Burial with military rites will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Butler died at 11:50 p.m. Tuesday at his home.

The Marshall County native was the retired owner of Butler Shade Co. and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife, Aline Alvey Butler; his mother, Tula Stewart Butler of Symsonia; one daughter, Cathey Butler of Boaz; one son, Larry Butler of Mayfield; five sisters, Patsy Cunningham of Symsonia, Linda Springs of Bowling Green, and Mildred Bobo, Minnie Hall and Ruth Levada Carlucci, all of Paducah; two brothers, Donald Butler of Symsonia and Stanley Butler of Paducah; one grandchild; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother. His father was Wavel Butler.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
