William John Baumgardner 74, of Van Horne died early Monday morning, Jan. 31, 1972 in St. Luke's hospital. He had been in ill health for sometime.
Funeral services were Wednesday, Feb. 2 at 1:30 pm in St. Andrew Lutheran church with the Rev. Glenn E. Renken officiating.
Mr. Baumgardner was born Apr. 25, 1897 near Van Horne, a son of William and Margaretha Wittern Baumgardner. On Feb. 10, 1926 he was married to Laura Schroeder at Blairstown. He farmed in the Blairstown area until moving to his present home in Van Horne. He was a member of St. Andrew Lutheran church.
Interment was in St. John's Lutheran cemetery at Newhall.
