A.M. Hunter, aged 79, Who had Also Been Mail Carrier, Dies in Oil City Hospital.

PLEASANTVILLE, March 5, -A.M. Hunter, aged 71 years and 9 months, died in the Oil City hospital at 1:28 Monday morning, following a long illness of heart trouble.
Mr. Hunter was born in Southwest township, Warren county, on June 17, 1856, being the oldest son of the late Gates M. Hunter and Sarah Meritt Hunter.
He was married at Forestville, N.Y. on May 25, 1880, to Permelia S. Cooley of the place.
He was employed by the government in carrying mail between Tionesta and Kelletville for a number of years before moving to Pigeon, where he was postmaster at the time of his death. He was a member of the school board of Howe township and was a member of the Free Methodist church at Marienville. He was a kind and loving father and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He leaves his aged wife, one daughter, Mrs. Morris Bundy, one son, Lewis Hunter, and granddaughter, Florence Bundy: also one sister, Mrs. Willard Carson of Pleasantville, and three brothers, Francis M. Hunter and Harry G. Hunter of Union City, and Lincoln G. Hunter of Westfield, N.Y.
Funeral services in his memory will be held at the Pleasantville Free Methodist church on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. J.E. Kiffer officiating. Interment at the Cheney cemetery.
