Leland Finch's Father Passes
F. B. Finch, father of Leland S. Finch, a resident of Baker for 30 years, died Friday morning in Spokane where he made his home since moving away from here in 1910. Leland S. Finch left with Mrs. Finch and their son, Robert, by auto for Spokane that afternoon to attend the funeral held in the Washington city Saturday. F. B. Finch was born in 0hio 68 years ago. He came here with his parents in 1880. The elder Mr. Finch helped lay out the city of Baker. F. B. Finch was married to Miss Cora Baird, sister of Charles and Walter Baird in 1885. To this union Leland of Baker and Leslie of Maple wood, N. J. were born. Their mother died in 1894. Mr. Finch later married Miss Minnie Emerson who survives him, with three sons and three daughters, Jerome, Harley and Fred, and Helen, Cora and Belle, all of Spokane. The deceased was a member of the Baptist Church. He had been ill for the past year.
