June, 2000, Shirley McKinney (granddaughter of Ozie's sister Leta Pace) writes:
Ozie resided in Granite City, Madison Co., IL (which is across the Mississippi River from St. Louis) for a time as son Doyle's 6 month old picture had the address on the back of the picture. [I think his name was Lolyn]

June 13, 2000, Jack Pace sent this obit:
Ozie P. Robinson (note spelling). Born c 1889, died Jun. 13, 1942. Married one W. Jewel Hinkle on Feb.16, 1912. Married 2nd time to Ben Robinson. Survivors children Iocie Hinkle, Iolyn Hinkle, and Dekeen Hinkle. (Note the different spellings from the previous Obit.) Mother Mrs. Belle Pace, sisters: Mrs. Fred Aylor, Mrs. Leta Adamson, Mrs. Ilah Hillis, Mrs. Maggie Tinker. Aunts: Mrs Dora Holloway, Mrs. Mattie Patton. Son; LaMoyne Hinkle was killed during WWI serving in the Navy. (That statement was false as you know.)


April 15, 2002: Niece - Earlene Tinker Tims - remembers:
Aunt Ozie used to make a stew that she called Hunky Stew. All I remember about what my mother told about it was that it was made with home brew (beer she had made herself).


'The Daily American Republic' Poplar Bluff, MO newspaper, Mon. June 25, 1942, page 5:
MRS. ROBINSON DIED SATURDAY ILL EIGHT WEEKS
Mrs. Ozie P. Robinson, aged 52, died at her home at 228 Hazel street June 13 at 5 p.m. She had been ill eight weeks and had resided in this county 12 years.
Mrs. Robinson was a member of the Christian church for 34 years. For some years she had resided in Butler county until a few years ago.
Surviving are the husband, Ben Robinson and the following children: Iocie Hinkle of Poplar Bluff, Iolyn Hinkle of Camp Polk, La., Dekeen Hinkle of Luke Field, Ariz., and Mrs. Belle M. Pace of Poplar Bluff. Others surviving are sour sisters, Mrs. Fred Aylor, Mrs. Leta Adamson, Mrs. Ilah Hillis of Poplar Bluff and Mrs. Maggie Tinker of Edenburg, Tex., and two aunts, Mrs. Dora Holloway and Mrs. Mattie Patton of Poplar Bluff.
A son, LaMayne Hinkle, died while serving in the Navy during the first World War.
Funeral services were to be at 2:30 p.m. today at Marble Hill church with the Rev. Wm. S. Smelser in charge. Phelps service.

(Note: Gravesites are located in the north end of the Marble Hill cemetery behind the 'Killian' family plot, not far from the grave lane that borders the cemetery. Also the name of her son was misspelled ... the spelling should read Deneen Hinkle.)
