OBITUARY from "The Central Union" Westfield, Wisconsin, Feb 27, 1920.
Augusta Amelia Langlotz was born in Germany on the 20th day of December, 1841 and died of bronchial pneumonia on Feb. 29, 1920, 79 years and 2 months.
In 1865 she was united in marriage to Frederick Meyer and in 1866 they came to America and settled on a farm near Blooming Prairie, Minn. The following year they moved on a farm near Westfield, Wis. where they lived for a great many years. This union was blessed with nine children. Max, Adolph, George, and her husband preceded her in death.
In the year 1890 deceased was again united in marriage to Carl Witthuhn and moved on a farm near Elmore, Minn.
Later they moved to Elmore where she lived at the time of her death. In July 1908 death summoned Carl Witthuhn and in June 1913 she was united in marriage to Rev. C. C. Langlotz, a long time friend, who with 6 children, 2 brothers, and 1 sister, a host of grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren mourn her death.
Her brothers, Richard Arendsee of Aberdeen, S.D., Paul Arendsee of Westfield, and a sister Helen Arendsee of Wausau, Wis., and children, Mrs. Augusta Henkel, Elmore, Minn., Paul Meyer of Blue Earth, R. R. Meyer of Aberdeen, S.D., Mrs. Martha Levenick, Danbury, Wis., Mrs. Lydia Witthuhn, Arcola, Sask., Canada, and Arthur Meyer of Oklahoma City, Okla.
Those in attendance at the funeral at Westfield were R.R. Meyer, Paul Meyer and grandson E.C. Henkel of Savage, Minn.
