Alia Abraham, 96, widow of the late Nahim Abraham and patriarch of the Abraham family of Canadian, died Wednesday evening at her home at 712 Cheyenne Avenue in Canadian.
Funeral arrangements are pending with Stickley-Hill Funeral Home.
Mrs. Abraham, a native of Lebanon, had lived in Canadian since 1913, when she emigrated to the United States to join her husband who had established an early day mercantile business, The Fair Department Store, in Canadian.
She was born on October 28, 1883 in Kafracah, Lebanon.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Canadian.Surviving her are three sons, Naceeb Abraham of Amarillo and Tom and Malouf of Canadian; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
