He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby & Barbara Ashley and Russell & Phyllis Ashlely; daughter and son-in-law, Gail & Richard Downing; sister, Iris Harrell; sister-in-law, Billie Daniels; six grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Interment followed funeral services conducted Saturday, December 22, 2007.
