Services Held for G. McCann in Great Falls

George S. McCann, 86, Augusta, died Monday in a Choteau rest home. Funeral services were held this morning in Great Falls with burial in Highland cemetery.

McCann was born Oct. 4, 1880, at Fishhaven, Idaho, and married Sophia Hildt in 1903 and came to Montana in 1927, first settling in the Sun River Valley. In 1941 he moved to Fairfield and during World War II worked at Gore Hill. McCann married Elizabeth (Kate) Spinder on Nov. 1, 1946, at Nephi, Utah, and the couple moved to Augusta in 1951.

Survivors in addition to the widow include children, Everett McCann, Vaughn; Madge Allen, Fairfield; Libbie Hatcher, Vaughn; Marcus McCann, Livingston; Fern Kinna, Simms; Jean Simkins and Lynn McCann, Fairfield; Max McCann, Augusta; 31 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren. A son, Burdell, preceded McCann in death.
