Miriam N. Lewis, 90, of Locust Grove and formerly of Sandy Springs, died November 4, 2009. She was born 20 Sep 1919, in Yatesville, Upson County, Georgia to James Marvin and Nita Eudine (Persons) Nicholson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, A.H. Lewis and is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Nita L. and Andre' Sparrow; sons and daughters-in-law, Larry S. and Glenda Lewis, James A. and Bunny Lewis; son, Victor F. Lewis; 13 grandchildren; and 24 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Sacred Journey Hospice, 138 Peach Dr., McDonough, GA 30253 or to Wears Valley Ranch, 3601 Lyon Springs Rd., Sevierville, TN 37862. Funeral service will be Sunday, November 8, 2009 at 2 o'clock at Mount Vernon Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Saturday from 4 to 7 o'clock at H.M. Patterson and Son, Arlington Chapel, 173 Allen Rd., NE, Sandy Springs, GA 30328.
