Aubre W. Berry, 94, of Las Vegas, passed away Dec. 3, 2009. He was born in 1915, in San Pedro, Calif., and was a 35-year resident of Nevada.
Raised in the San Fernando Valley of California, Aubre as a young man worked at the gas company and with pipeline contractors. He also worked in real estate and later worked at Bally's and retired from security at Timet.
During World War II, he was a lieutenant and served as a naval aviator. As a youth, Aubre enjoyed playing basketball. As an adult, he enjoyed traveling with his wife, Ernestyne, deepsea albacore fishing, and was a fan of major league baseball.
Aubre is survived by his wife, of 74 years, Ernestyne L. Berry.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, March 8, at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, in Boulder City.
