She was born March 13, 1933 in Blountsville, AL to the late James and Emma Yancy Sweatman.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She attended the Nazarene Church. She loved to watch soap operas and Sunday morning preaching. She also loved to can and cook for her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Emma Yancy Sweatman; her 1st husband, Elmer Morgan; 2nd hustand, Bobby Stowe; four brothers and two sisters.
She leaves her children, Billy and Betsy Barron of Shelby, AL, Velma Givens of Phoenix, AZ, James and Stella Barron of Geraldine, AL, Sheila and Neil Gilbraith of Phoenix, AZ, Wayne and Salena Barron of McKenzie, AL, Joyce and Charles Purdy of Dawson, AL, Cathy ad Danny Tripp of Wardell, Debra Stark of Hayti and Tommy and Diane Morgan of McKenzie, AL; 39 grandchildren and 66 great-grandchildren; brother, Daniel Sweatman of Hanceville, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Services were held Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010 in the John W. German Funeral Home in Hayti with Bro. William Quillin officiating. Burial was held in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Hayti.
