From the Newport News Daily Press (December 12th, 1919). p.2:

"Mrs.Eudora Lumber, wife of William Lumber, long a resident of Newport News, died at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. C. Brown Crafford, in Wilmington Wednesday morning, December 10. Her body will be brought to her native city, Portsmouth, Va., and the funeral will be held at the residence of her brother, S. B. Hutchins, 1929 Naval Avenue. She was the mother of Mrs. Alice Overman, Mrs. C. Brown Crafford, and Mrs. Staples, all former residents of this city, and had many friends and relatives in Newport News.

Funeral will be held Friday afternoon."
