He married Effie Elizabeth Steele, a daughter of Jackson and Fannie Mae Steele.

Funeral services will, be held Saturday at 11 a m. from the Penn Church of God with the Rev. Isaac Eddy officiating.
Burial will be in the Andrews Chapel Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Effie Jarrett, Danville 1; three daughters, Mrs. Cora Powell, Falkville 3: Miss Audrey Jarrett, and Miss Doris Jarrett, both of Danville 1; two sons, Reyford Jarrett, Alton, R. I.; Rathern J. Jarrett, Danville 1; seven grandchildren; three brothers, L. H. Jarrett, D. R. Jarrett, both of Hartselle 3; J. L. Jarrett, Danville 1; one sister, Mrs. Earline Morris, Danville 1.
The body will remain at the residence until time to be taken to the church for services.
