OSBORNE, JAMES IVO, 78, of Louisville, passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2007 at his home. He was a native of Frederickstown, KY, and a member of Mother of Good Counsel Catholic Church. He was a retired business owner and served in the State House of Representatives from 1970-1972. He was a lifetime member and also served as Grand Knight in the Knights of Columbus Council 4270. He was preceded in death by his parents, Spencer and Louise Mudd Osborne; grandson, Allan Whitledge and and two sisters, Bessie Medley and Rosemary McCawley Baker. He is survived by his loving wife, Anna Geneva Thomas Osborne; sons, James Richard (Ann) Osborne of Willisburg, KY, Gary L. (Marsha) Osborne of Bardstown, KY, Robert J. (Rhonda) and Thomas (Janice) Osborne, all of Springfield, KY, and Spencer Osborne of Las Vegas, NV; daughters, Deborah (William) Lloyd, Rose Marie (Mike) Whitledge and Mary Jeanette Michael, all of Henderson, KY, M. Louise (Stephen) Steier and Gracie (Bill) Baldwin, all of Louisville, and Anna G. (Phillip) Cecil of Alabaster, AL; 33 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; three brothers; and seven sisters. His Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 2, 2007 at Mother of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 8509 Westport Road, Louisville, KY 40242. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Thursday, March 1, 2007 and from 10 a.m. until noon on Friday at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road. There will be a rosary prayer service at 7 p.m. on Thursday evening at the funeral home. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park Mausoleum. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of Masses said in his memory.
