Donald B. Clopton, 57, of 2317 Peaslee Road, died Thursday at SS. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital. He was a native of Hart County and a retired employee of P. Lorillard Tobacco Co. He was past master of Excelsior Masonic Lodge 258 and a member of Knox Creek Baptist Church in Lynnwood, Evening Star Chapter 374 of Order of Eastern Star, Scottish Rite and Kosair Shrine. Survivors include his wife, the former Monica Pollock; two stepsons, Michael Chism of Meade County and Ernest Michal; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Janie Schoen and Mrs. Marlene Medley; his mother, Mrs. Nannie Clopton; two brothers, Leon Clopton of Hart County and William Clopton; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at O. D. White & Sons Funeral Home, 2727 S. Third St., with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
