He is survived by brother, Roscoe (Loretta); sisters, Alice Elizabeth (Wilson) and Goldie June; aunts, Lucille Adams of Lancaster, Wilma Johnson of Tucson, AZ as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and precious brother, Ralph.
The family moved to Plummer Rd. when Richard was two and he attended Atlanta Schools. He made his home in Columbus and worked maintenance at Batelle, Capital University and the main Library in Columbus. Richard loved John Wayne movies and thought Wayne's motto "Courage is being scared to death but saddling up anyway" was a good one. Richard certainly had to do that many times in his lifetime.
Services were entrusted to Wellman Funeral Home of Circleville, Ohio.
